your hair is pulled through a

the extension hair and is
crimped shut. Hair Locs

 What
products do you use and sell
for dreadlocks?
Knotty
Boy Products:
Dreadlock Shampoo Bar: for
cleaning scalp and dreadlocks
Peppermint Cooling Moisture
Spray: to sooth and moisturize
dreadlocks
Locksteady Tropical Tightening
Gel: to control frizzies and
tightening dreadlocks
 I
heard that Dreadperms are
really bad for your hair, is
this true?
Just like any
hair service, the stylist you
choose should be your main
concern. Ensure your
stylist is a licensed
cosmetologist and able to
perform chemical services.
Always do research, ask for
pictures, before and after.
Do not hesitate to ask
questions, you may want to
speak with a past Dreadperm
client as well. We have
been doing many types of perms
for many years, we are
educated in the chemistry of
hair and it's structure.
The perms we use are
gentle and made for your
specific hair type; virgin,
bleached or color treated.
Perms are meant to change the
internal structure of the
hair, not fry or damage the
hair.
 Why
don't you use or sell Beeswax?
Simply because
it's not hair "friendly" and
it's messy. Beeswax
repels water, which is why it
has such a fabulous reputation
for making dreadlocks.
Repelling water can also trap
in moisture causing mold to
form and grow in your dreads.
We're not saying that everyone
who uses beeswax has mold...
we're just stating the facts.
We suggest using a natural
aloe gel (Knotty Boy
Tightening Gel) or a "paste
like" salon pomade/styling
product, these products are
water soluble and can be
reapplied after washing or
swimming.
